Tricky Faces Magic
In this trick you and your friend pick one card each. These two cards are eventually revealed to be facing upwards in a pack of cards whilst the remaining cards are all face downwards.
To prepare for this trick take a face down deck of cards, remove the top card, turn it face up, remember it and place it (still face up) on the bottom of the deck.
You are now ready to perform.
Hold the deck in your hand, cut it in half and place the top half face down in front of your friend. This is now your friends deck.
Pick one card from your deck, pretend to look at it (although you will not need to remember it; this is just a decoy) and place it face down on the table in front of you.
Now ask your friend to take one card from his deck, look and remember it and place it face down on the table in front of themselves.
As your friend does this, without your friend seeing, carefully turn your deck over and place it down in front of yourself
Now ask your friend ‘without looking at it’ to place your card face down into his deck, and you do the same with his by placing it into your deck.
Note: Be careful not to accidentally show any cards in your deck
Now take his deck, turn half of it face up and place it on top of your deck and turn the other half face up and place it on the bottom of your deck.
Tell your friend the name of the card you memorized at the beginning of this trick and ask him to tell you his card.
Now turn the whole deck over and fan it out.
There will be two cards face up ... the two chosen cards.
